“Active April” 29/2024

Find a second gear for your workout today. Push the boundaries.

Active April Calendar

I found first gear, which, for a while, I wasn’t even sure I would. Then, once into my weights and resistance training, I tried to step it up as much as I could.  Followed this with a decent 2.50 km walk. It was all preceded by real life “weight training,” aka cleaning out the garage stuff. I had hoped to do a few kms on the bike, but by the time auoowr was over and cleared up, the warmth and the good light were gone.

I do have to say that doing Active April has definitely helped push me to set goals and increase my commitment to taking good care of myself.

I listened to an excellent podcast today that talked about aging and the positive changes we can make to increase the success of how our body ages. Lifting weights is such a key component.  It’s taken me a lot of time to get there but I am glad I finally made it.

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.
